Naruto sighed. Finally he had a break, for a little while at least. Seems Tsunade decided she'd pack the missions on for Team 7, and after about the third multi-day mission in a row Naruto grew tired and impatient. Sometimes he felt like a two year old with the need to throw a hissy fit, but did she relaly need to keep them out of the village for so long? Shaking his head and shoving his hands into his jacket pocket, he walked down the street to get what he wanted. Ichiraku's Ramen!
If anyone needed him, surely they would know where to find him. After not having real ramen for a week, where else would be possibly be--though he had to admit that slseeping would be a good guess. Taking a big whiff as he entered the shop, Naruto sat on a stool with a contented sigh. Teuchi upon seeing him, worked on making the usual miso ramen that Naruto always ordered with a free egg since he hadn't seen the boy in a while.
Grabbing the bowl and pulling it closer to himself, Naruto licked his lips and grabbed a pair of chopsticks. "Ichiraku's ramen is the best.." He said with a smile and Ayame just shook her head.
"As you say all the time, Uzumaki."
Naruto just laughed and stuck his tongue out at the owner's daughter. "Obviously, it needs to be repeated." At least he wasn't out with Kakashi, who usually commented something about him needing more vegetables not soaked in broth before his waistline swelled and he couldn't keep up with them anymore. 'Pfft, I like my ramen, Kakashi doesn't make fun of Iruka for loving it.'

Ah, such a nice, wonderful, snowy day. While everyone else was bundled up and cursing winter, hoping for spring to come already, Kiba was just whistling in the streets. The cold never really effected him that much. Maybe it was some strange Inuzuka thing, because his family didn't seem to care either.
Kiba rested one arm around Akamaru, who was walking happily beside him. The big lug loved the snow. Loved rolling in it, laying in it, attempting to eat it. Ah, but Kiba loved his not-so-little Akamaru. Best friends for life right?
Akamaru's nose twitched, and his tail began to wag again. Kiba raised an eyebrow. One of their friends must be near. Either that or food. Maybe both eh? The canine boy sniffed and turned his head instantly. Why hadn't he noticed before? Gah, he was getting lazy again. Stupid Shikamaru and his influences.
"Oy Naruto! Make some room why don't ya!"
Of course it was Naruto, who else would be at the Ramen stand anyway? Kiba sat down next to Naruto and rolled his eyes. This boy could probably eat the world's supply of Ramen and still be hungry. Fatty.
"Do you even do anything else throughout your day?"

Once he finished slurping his ramen, and rather loudly at that, Naruto looked up as he heard a rather annoying voice. "Oy, are you trying to call me fat?" He said, rolling his eyes. Scoot over, hmph, like there wasn't enough room in the bar.
Spying Akamaru with him, Naruto turned a bit and patted him on the head. He didn't even have to squat down to reach the mutt anymore. He almost seemed to get bigger all the time, Kiba must feed the thing steroids or something. Maybe he should start giving it ramen, to stunt his growth.
"Yeah, I do! It's just that it's cold out so I thought I'd get some ramen to warm up." Naruto usually tapped out of his bank of excuses in moments like these, since it wouldn't be intelligent to say 'I like ramen, it tastes real good.'
"What are you doing here? I figured Tsunade would have Team 8 out on a mission if we were staying in town for a while." Pushing his bowl back for them to take, and hopefully put more ramen in, he turned and faced his friend. Ugh, if Kiba was there then that must mean that shy-face Hinata with the stuttering he couldn't understand was around, oh yay.

"That's exactly what I'm saying tubby."
Kiba took a quick glance around to make sure that one of his teammates wasn't secretly stalking him. Somehow, he could suspect Shino doing something like that. Maybe Hinata, but probably only to see Naruto. Why? Like he knew the answer!
"You people and the cold. It's not that bad, I don't know why you make a fuss."
He rolled his eyes and placed his elbows on the counter. People were such sissy's when it came to the cold. Seriously, were they ninja or not? People should just stop complaining over the weather and actually get something done. Bunch of lazies.
"Seriously? I have no idea. Maybe there aren't enough missions for everyone? Or perhaps she just sees how amazing my team is doing and is deciding to give us a break."
Kiba shrugged lightly. He actually expected Tsunade to be pounding them with missions, but he wasn't complaining at the moment. Him and Akamaru had gotten some practice in too, which was nice. Kiba leaned over and sniffed at Naruto's bowl. Mm, smelled nice.
"Is this like your seventh bowl or something tubby?"

Naruto puffed out his cheeks for a moment at Kiba, but decided to let it go. "Yeah, yeah. If I'm fat, then you must be obese, dog-breath."
Noticing Kiba's suspicious glances aorund, he raised a brow at his friend. It's not like he should be worried about being followed, unless maybe by that creepy Hinata girl. "Oi, got a crazed fangirl on your back or something? Oh wait, I forgot, that would never happen."
Smelling his ramen bowl returned to him, Naruto turned back to it and licked his lips. But what Kiba was saying about the missions was interesting, and he could see them having a shortage of them. Team 7 sure was overworked. "You're team's doing amazing, ay? Probably just because you all get the kiddie missions. We've had so many lately, that I wouldn't be surprised if my apartment needs a cleanin' from not being used."
Seeing Kiba's face get a little too close to his ramen, Naruto poked it with the end of his chopsticks. "Oi, that's mine. Buy your own. And no, this is only my second." Sticking his tongue out, he began to woof down the second bowl of ramen as loudly as the first.
